I have to come clean...I copied them from someone who came up with the idea in Alabama. (he sells them on ebay) I bought a bunch from him to see how he did it and it didn't take much to do an exact copy with what I already had in my shop. He has a video on Utube where he deep jigs amberjacks with them.

I made some 4 and 5 oz and, I want to try them for seabass and fluke.

I ordered some 10 oz ones from the guy down south to see what size skirts and hooks he uses for those. I will modify the mold once I see what he did. I may have to buy a 10 or 12 oz molds. I want to drop them on some bass and blues in a few deeper holes I like to fish.

As for $ I have into them I have not even figured that out as these were put together with stuff I had. (I have a pile of molds) I have no plans to get into the selling business. Just too much of a hassle for the $. This Alabama guy can have it. I just want to fish them and I plan on loosing a bunch so I would like to make my own.

got the 10 oz today...these look nice. I will fish for everything with them. I see myself getting the necessary parts together this year and making a load of them next winter.

Nice idea I’m going to have to try that. I wonder if they would work better with the line tie moved towards the center of the sinker/jig so that it hangs horizontally…

Yeah, the 10 oz have it about 1/3 of the way back more for jigging. I want to try trolling these as well on braid and in that case the further fwd position is slightly better for that, at least that is what I prefer.

If these work out I plan to have a custom alum mold made later in the year after I fish these and hammer out the details. I might have two eyes cut into each mold, one each position. Also I was thinking of putting one on the bottom for a small one like 1 oz size and 3-way that with a large one similar to 3 waying small bucktails.

You can make one with a regular bank sinker mold unmodified...just jam the eye in the spru pour, it is a quickie, not perfect but it gets you there depending on the type of mold you have. The location is different in different molds can be troublesome...in that case break out the dremmel.

They work good, I have caught Fluke, Sea Bass and some Blues on them. Though the blues tore it to shreds.

These have produced major for me. I handed a few out and got positive reports back right away.

Recently I have been using it with fluke and I nailed a 7#er with it.

I want to deep drop one in a tuna school next.
