This Patriotic (Exterior or Interior) Eagle has the original paint with no dings or chips. It was made in Stoneham, MA by Arborlite Inc. in the 1970s. With some fresh paint it will look great over your garage door or as folk art in your home.

Really cool piece. How did you come across it?

We have a flag similar to that, it's very cool.

My Mom and Dad had it on every home (moved several times) since I was about 12 yrs old... it was bought on the Cape and was most recently on my Mom'place in Yarmouthport ... she gave it to me and it has been on my garage for about a year... With fresh paint it would be stunning... it is a classic... on the back in margic marker it says Flying Cloud which was a Clipper Ship... maybe it was a copy of the transom eagle from the Flying Cloud?

Depending on dimensions, I may be interested.

Wish I had the space for it, that's awesome.

You should keep it Chris it's been with your family a long time.

Thanks for all the great comments...No I still want to sell it.. My wife does not want it on the house anymore (going to put a swordfish in its place) and I would rather have someone enjoy it then have it get dinged in my garage gathering dust.
I would rather keep the wifie than the eagle at this point in time.

Tell her to get rid of some "junk" that used to belong to her parents. There must be a spot in your shop that you could put that and smile at what it represents.

I have a beat up birdbath in my front garden that was my Grandmothers. She was a gardener extraordinaire. It certainly shows the years but my dog drinks out of it and my Grandmother loved dogs.Good Luck regardless and please don't take offense. I am a big fan of your work.Maybe ask a sibling if they would want it.

That would fit over the front door nicely...don't think it's the wife's style though. :-(

If I had a place for that, I'd be all over it.

GregW 04-15-2012 06:56 PM

If I had more disposable income right now, I would snag this....

Really cool piece.
