Block Island and Black Beauty handcarves

After getting a sweet 8inch handcarve body from "The Greek" @ Plugfest I have been having fun making slight variations on Ted's design.

The BI Green and Jet Black are new this week. All are 8" long and use a very similar handmade lip. The BI green has some lead about 2/3 back in addition to lead in the belly hook position.

I use either basswood or white cedar for these handcarves. I now have a Lee lead pot with the valve in the bottom front so adding liquid lead gives a lot of control for weight positioning.
