so he gets auctioned off....
family buys him
and while waiting with new owners kid
he observes a crime
becomes a hero....

I can see saving $4500 a year maybe but not giving the dog to someone who knows him and vice versa (the trainer) so they can get a couple hundred at an auction is just dow right cheap. I bet the mayor blows more money on business lunches than the dog will fetch (pun--ha ha :) ) at auction.

Let's buy the dog for the officer. I'm in for $20. Who'll join me?

What they don't tell you is that Rosko’s handler, Officer Jason Yasso hole gets paid for sheltlering and feeding the dog. Instead of keeping the dog as a pet he uses the dog for additional income. Gee I feel really sorry for Officer Yasso hole.
