Early Season

Splashed the boat for the first time in Westport and I was pleasantly surprised by the number of fish and size of fish; usually this early its small schoolies. Tackling a number of 15-20 lbers on light tackle was fun, even had what would have been a nice keeper fluke in season com up off the river bottom for a snack.

Nice to see the Ipilot trolling motor work as expected, in what was a stiff wind, I could walk to the back of the boat and fish; while the trolling motor continually made corrections to hold me on that spot.

ps: Still have the 101# thrust trolling motor that came off the boat for sale on the classified for cheep money by the way.

took the T ferry out of Quincy yesterday and went to Boston. I could see a very large pod of birds working over a large area. I assume it was schoolies.

I thought I saw you headed down Rt 58 Carver/Wareham line. I was already on my way home.
