River Running Stripers

1 Attachment(s)
Good morning all. I am a new member looking to discuss tactics and equipment for landing river running stripers in and around the Bristol/Newport RI area. I fish mainly from shore using artifical bait. I have been using spoons like the Krocodile with moderate success. Does anyone know of any good plugs or crankbaits that might be of use? I welcome any responses. Thank you and good fishing.

BTW - I caught this keeper using a "Kroc" on May 20th during a slack tide. Hope the picture comes out.

Gibbs 1 0z. pencil poppers. Give them a try in white w/red head,
blue and white and mackeral painted. Also put a 5/0 single hook
with a bucktail on it and they will crush it. BANG...fish on Scoopemup. Good Luck.

Nice work, I really like bouncing those 5-6" Wildeyes in the river current in my area. Also bomber type plugs work well for me and they're easy to use
