Just think , a few miles earlier they could have pulled into Point Jidith HOR and gassed up no problemo.

Probably wanted to be sure theyt didn't leave anty money in the tank after the delivery. Penny wise , pound foolish.

Its the same reason most small planes crash within sight of the airport, didn't bother to fuel up.
