Googans on Discovery Channel Tuna Show

The captain of the Bounty Hunter was giving up some of his vast knowledge to the Discovery Channel cameraman, and during the disertion he spoke of googans as being someone who is new to fishing or this type of fishing. It came up during a part of the show when he was discussing his new mate, Paul, who used to fish on Tuna.Com.

It was funny before they caught a tuna with Paul they were cursing him for not getting them a fish sooner. Afterwards they spoke of himas a god.

Bounter Hunter isn't in the same category as the Tuna.com boat.

Wrong about the channel as well, Nat Geographic TV.

You know what is dumb? The word dumb! Why is there a "B" in it. It should just be "Dum"

Nat. geo, not Disco Very

Tuna.com was by far the most skilled crew. The numbers speak for themselves.

You guys take that show way too serious !
It's a tv show and their motive is drama.
As for who is better or not.
Plenty of guys catch big numbers every year. Both from Green Harbor & Chatham.
Only reason most of those boats are on the show is because the guys they originally approached from Chatham told them to go pound sand, they wanted nothing to do with being on tv.

Exactly- TV reality shows must have lotsa drama. Interesting that the Chatham guys passed up the opportunity as there must be some $$$ to be made from the exposure. People eat this stuff up and the guys make money with appearances and merchandise I would think.

Question for you Ronnie-Would you tell them to "pound sand" if they approached you and wanted to do a reality show based on your charter business?

Chartering is all about exposure. The more the better.
Real commercial guys want to fly under the radar and do their thing without every googan following them around.
