How you guys rerigging these?

4/0 in the front and 3/0 in the back?

Finally found some in a shop in glouster.

Are they the big waxwings? I picked one up that is 4.5 oz, not sure it that is the same model or not. If it is i rigged it with a 4/0 in front and a 5/0 siwash on the back. I managed to catch one fish on it in the canal a couple weeks ago. Cool plug.

Yeah the big 4.4oz one.

Cool plug, can't wait to hang some cows on it

Yes so did mine, that's why I asked about RERIGGING them.

I thought they would be great. They swim insane with not much work needed on the user end. But for some reason they haven't caught much. There has been multiple situations with feeding fish that I had to take it off because it wasn't producing. And proceeded to catch fish with other stuff. It really blew my mind every time as I thought I would slay fish with them because they swim so great and have a small profile along with great paint schemes.

Looked like they only had the smaller ones for sale at Redtop. Maybe the big boys are as good for the Canal or they do work well but sold out?

I purchased the bone color big daddy waxwing about two weeks ago. I have yet to catch anything on it. Currently I still have the large single hook on the rear on the lure. I too was considering placing a single 4x treble on the belly and removing the rear hook. On the other hand I have seen several bass caught on the large waxwing as is out of the box.

I have heard great things about them and how they swim but nothing on catching
