Yes We're Back!!!!!!! Hello all!!!

Just wanted to stop in and say hello and give you a little update on the cape fishing last week as well as Women's Day and Kid's day!!!

Kid's Day was last Saturday and we had a ball, got to Onset around 11 only to find out that they had closed the parking lot for some kind of Metal detector get togehter , so I start to panic, SH$$ What are we gonna do now, went around the block and stoped at the parking lot were the bigger head boats go out of and decided there was enough room for everybody there, we split the kids up into groups of 6-7 and had a few clinics but things got a little heywire , but in the end things worked out great. We didn't catch any fish but the kids had a great time, they all got new rods and reels and learned how to tie knots and had a pretty good casting clinic. SO hopefully next time we can get to go were we wanted to go and get them into some fishies.

Women's Day was Sunday, there we a total of 6 of us, Katie , jodi, Jenn, colleen, me and my mom. We hit onset and got a few fish there, after a few wader adjustments, ;) right Jodi!!! then we headed to Buttermilk and did pretty well there almost everbody got into fish. I can say I had an awesome time & am glad everybody enjoyed themselves even if somebody did drop a really good fish that was probably the only keeper of the day right Jenn!!! Was too bad and wish Jenn had gotten that fish, but it happens. Hopefully we will be able to hook up again and do some more fishing toghether.

The rest of the week was with my mom & dad, my brother and his son, and my other nephew and BC. We did very well with the bass, got 8 keepers last week and caught a slew of schoolies. We never got into the blues very heavy as the weather just wouldn't cooperate, but we did have a ball with the bass this year. I still have pictures to develope so when I get them done I will post a few.

The bass & blue fishing on the south side of the cape over the last couple of days has been scattered at best. We definatley need some SW or W wind to get things rolling again, some of this rain and the continuing E NE wind has really got the fish broken up. But just remember the fish don't care if it's raining so if you can tolorate the elements then get out there and get um as there are definatly some nice fish out there to be had!!!!!!!!

I see the fishing has been good to alot of you and I am glad you guys and gal's are getting into um!! Life Is Good!!!!!!

Hey FW, I ran into that metal detector thing last year... I was there very early am before they arrived. It was a little strange, but people probably think we are weird when we stand in the rain and catch no fish.

Glad you and the family had fun as usual. My dad is visiting next week and we'll get out a couple times.. he wants to see the girls as much as fish though.

I fished the harbor for the first time on sunday. Other than a my trolling motor not working (well, dead battery due to charger not working), the boat was good.

The rivers seem pretty dead, but there were a bunch of schoolies up in Dorchester Bay. Sizes were mixed with fish from 12-26" and it looked like they were on small herring. I caught 17 fish on smoke ledgerunners and albino bass assassins.

I checked around in the Back and Neponset rivers and didn't mark anything. I know that usually the fish are up in the rivers early on. Things seem off a bit.

We need some warm weather... not just for the fish, I need to get outside.

Hope to see you out on the water, maybe this weekend. Later and welcome back.

Hey Schoolie Monster, glad you got out fishing for a while, as for the rivers I hear there are some fish in the back river and four river. Things are slow up here every where, we need some nice SW wind blowing hard and warming up the water. We should be getting the boat down to the marina next week, the guy down there isn't ready yet due to nobody working on there boats so they can get them in the water. This weather really sucks!!!!

Will be doing a local trip tomorrow so I will let ya know how it goes.

Jenn, sorry you didn't get that bad dog, I was really wishing you did!!!! Will get um next time. Did have fun with the family but the week ended on kind off a sad note as my sisters boyfriend got injured severely when a 15 ft ditch colapsed on him, he is in pretty bad shape, broke a leg, crushed his hips and pelvis, ruptured a lung, busted his liver and crushed his face and chest. SO things have been a little on edge, he is hanging in there but things are still critical and he has numerous surgeries to go thru, and we also found out that my dads sisters husband has just been diagnosed with a sevear muscle disease that they can't do anything about and it is just going to be a matter of time for him. So I had a great time with my family and hated to see them leave, I am just a little down about the whole thing right now.

Specialist, please tell jodi she is welcome and so are you, she is a sweetheart and we did have a great time, but you need to get that girl a new pair of waders!!! Tell her we will definatley be doing it again in the future, was thinking of maybe a boat trip????? Out in the harbor!!! we will see.

Thanks Bliz!!!
