J Habs needles

While buying some wire for his plugs, JHabs dropped off a couple samples of his needle plugs...we used them on Friday afternoon and we caught plenty of bass on them...nice plugs, quality finish and hardware. You can tell he spends some time on these...buy them up...
That was the first time I used a needle plug...

I gots to find me some of them habs needles ;) . Are they canadian ?

fishweewee 05-28-2003 10:39 AM

Mr. Parkway,

Please be careful with that Canadian stuff. I hear you can catch mad needle disease if you don't watch it. :p :smash:

pops---step to the water's edge, cast, and retrieve slowly with erratic twitches of the rod tip.

Oh, and hang on tight.

They work in calm water, but you can't beat a needle when the water's too rough for most other plugs.

And whatever you do, don't EVER think of tossing them in heavy surf/rocky areas like Squibnocket, Gay Head, Narragansett, Watch Hill, Montauk and so on :D

For anyone intersted, I am donating a Habs Needlefish to the F2F raffle table at tonight's MSBA meeting. This one is brand new, still in the bag, white, 2 oz.

Good Luck,
Mike

pops02 05-28-2003 02:39 PM

bassmaster 05-28-2003 03:09 PM

JohnR 05-28-2003 03:19 PM

SS - they work real well and don't be afraid to hang a teaser in front of it when there are bass and few blues around... The Needlefish and Teaser is like PB & J - good seperate but really good together...

BasicPatrick 05-28-2003 03:59 PM

flatts1 05-29-2003 08:25 AM

Mr. Habs,

I know you get plenty of compliments on your needlefish and here's one more...

If I recall correectly from last night's MSBA meeting, the Habs plug I donated was the first item to go. And this was a particularly good raffle table with many sweet prizes to help raise money for F2F.

Mike

bassmaster 05-29-2003 10:26 PM

who Is Habs:D

BasicPatrick 05-30-2003 01:43 AM

Flats is correct,

I turned down a few higher priced items to grab the Habs White Needle last night at the MSBa Freedom to fish Raffle. It was an obvious choice for me, now I have two.

pops02 06-02-2003 09:42 AM

i picked up a couple of fish friday night on a habs needlefish, first cast, bamm, ..........then lost the needlefish 45 minutes later.... but stoped and bought a white one on the way home, couldnt find a certain color, but i will continue to look for that color..........
