I've used one and they work as advertised. But I'm not sure they are worth the money, especially since its difficult to control the size of the chunks, which some guys think is critical.

I have a homemade one and it's awesome. It's like having another crewman. We call it electric joe. Sometimes it misses, sometimes it tosses too many chunks.. but you fill it up with about 1/2 a tote of chunk and just forgetaboutit. If the tide is honkin it's just a birdfeeder. But other than that is pissa.

Ive used one. They work well but they are pricey.
