It's a ForeRiver just met a previous owner working with the scituate harbor master. I got a slip for the next 3 weeks so I can get in more time before haulout. Heading to the water in a few minutes.

Nice! Looks like a good cold weather boat.

I'd remove those round portholes and put in something to improve visibility though...

Yeah, I've been finding I lean out the open side. And from the wheel the view off Port is uncomfortably limited. The wall panel is just cut from the same plywood wall so I'll work on something with less gap and larger window.
Just finished replacing 16 wobble rollers on the EZLoader trailer. Drilling out the old rusted hogrings was a PITA! Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Like to see a side pic, it's cool :btu:

If it were me, i'd find a rear window for a VW bus and use it a a template to cut out a piece of lexan.. Then buy a new VW bus window gasket. It will pop right in if you make the hole correctly.. I'd make a template from the bus's rear hatch. You'd save a ton of money and not have to pay someone.

It's a basic plywood house so I could even screw on an old aluminum triple track storm window :)

I'd post pictures but iPhone safari isn't letting me. Is there a trick or app for that?

I would think about making both sides match and having clear vinyl windows made with snaps. Nice to not have the wind blow thru sometimes and to have it blow thru others.

Welcome to the world of boat owning.
Its a new way of life. Kind of a love/hate relationship..:fury: Good Luck..:uhuh: |
i love it. but need to wrangle up a slip for next spring. PO'd about the blow going on today. crazy gusts. i also need to learn how to fish. I had one hit trolling some soft baits. it bit the head end clear through but was in front of the hook and let go.

Mike.
Come on over, lots of good information & guys who know everything about these boats. What you got there is a "Pocket Downeast" Downeast Boat Forum |
registration calls it a ForeRiver - but thats definitely the idea.. just joined them so i can see all the pictures.

I'm certain that ForeRiver is a made up name, maybe someone who finished it. I bet it's a Seaway |
