I have seen I worse than that out at the race by far. I remember one day last season when two boats crossed jigging wire and one of the mates was cut very badly.

Again, that's not even close. It gets much worse when you get blitzes close to the beach and all the small LT boat guys try to get in on the action.

That would be a GOOD saturday or Sunday morning in the merrimack spring/summer...

piemma 10-15-2012 08:20 AM

When the pogies are in the Prov River in June that would be "no one was there". I have see 30 boats on one school of menhaden.

Turtle Cove can be a lot worse.

As far as boats go, ever see the mosquito fleet chasing schools of albies off MV during the Derby?:eek::err:

Not as many people fishing at night though ,. in fact us 5 were about the only ones over there ,.. North Bar /False Bar area was busy and very quiet.. After stumbling around and climbing rocks all night in the surf we found the mother load was behind our hotel from the sand ..

The only thing missing from the wire snapping, googan conga line at race pt are the big red shoes and clown noses. Why so many jockey around each other for a few small bass is beyond me.
I'd rather be trapped in an elevator with my ex wife than fish that way.

I just like the idea of my X being trapped in an elevator. :buds:
