Thinning the herd...rods and reels
3 Attachment(s)
These have been taking up room and not getting used so I am doing some fall cleaning.
1) 6'0" Captains Choice (Bass Pro) boat rod, 30-50 lb class with a roller tip in excellent condition. NEVER used and still has the bar code sticker on the butt. Foam grips and a removable butt cap with a gimble butt. $30.00 2) 8'0" Murrat rod. Honey colored blank with a somewhat light action. It has chrome guides and cork wraps. Fuji quick release reel seat that works as it should. There are no markings on the rod but it IS a Murrat, anyone who knows his rods will be able to tell. Nice rod. $25.00 3) South bend 6'6" 30-50 lb class rod with bottom roller and tip roller, the other guides are hardloy. It has a wood butt with a chrome gimble and a cork fore grip. The reel is a Penn No. 149 in nice condition spooled with Monel trolling wire. Not sure last time it was serviced, but its in good overall condition. $35.00 4) Penn 114HL spooled with 40lb Andes. Its in very good condition but could use a little cleaning. It works fine and has the rod clamp. $75.00 |

yes I do. PM sent

More than likely wrapped by Dave Hammock, Charlie Murat's son-in-law. Charlie died in 72 and I'm almost positive he never used cork tape. Dave started using cork tape around 80 or 81. I have the same rod and used it in the Canal to throw eels this past year.
