Preserving a deer leg?

Is there any redneck way to preserve a deer leg? Looking to use it as a leg for a table in our camper. How much would it be ball park to have a taxidermist do it?

I had a human leg done, ran me about a grand. Preserving the actual hair was the toughest.

skin the leg out, and braintan.

buy a cheap 3d archery deer target cut the leg off and use that as a form for your hide.

Call Jim Holden, Taxidermy Headquarters in Rochester. Good guy, he does all my work and he knows his stuff.
