Nice Stick :D Oh yeah, fish is pretty nice too. Too bad we got only got to watch Milo winching in fish..............

Slipknot 06-03-2003 09:01 AM

Good going mrmacey!
persistence pays off :)
I like the new rod, you definately will get better distance with that.
I broke the ice this AM also with my first canal bass of the year while jigging next to JPowers, then I got 5 more. Jim got a bass on a plug and a couple on jigs.

Christian 06-03-2003 09:11 AM

good going on the bass. i really like the rod. what reel is that on there?

Bliz 06-03-2003 09:33 AM

Great Job Mike!:btu:

It's always nice to break the ice!...

Congrats to Slip as well!

mrmacey 06-03-2003 09:45 AM

i

can only compare that type fishing this morning to those freezing days in febuary down the thames when i catch fish like that you know there here in numbers that rod is a 10' lamiglass triflex very lite compared to my 30.00 walmart jobs that broke everytime out the reel is a stradic 6000 from capesam awsome deal thank you i finally figured out the storm shads!!!! the fish had to be under them!!:smash:

Bliz 06-03-2003 09:50 AM

Them Storm's produce!...

Just try running them at different depths & colors!

I'm going to be trying their squid jigs soon!

I got a bunch of em over the winter! :)

jaywalker33 06-03-2003 10:35 AM

I'm still trying to figure those Storm's out myself. Have yet to catch a fish on one of them. I've tried bouncing them and even trolling them. I have the 4" ones in the goldish (forget the exact name), should I try a bigger size/different color?????

jaywalker33 06-03-2003 10:36 AM

Nice fish by the way mrmacy!:D

Christian 06-03-2003 10:56 AM

ive caught tuns on storm shads, they are 2nd in my rotation.
mr macy, i have the same rod, only difference is its a two piece built as a convench.

Clammer 06-03-2003 11:09 AM

good for you MM :D :D :D

capesams 06-03-2003 11:13 AM

glad to see some of my mojo from the reel rubbed off on ya:kewl:

Bliz 06-03-2003 02:03 PM

Yup!

You should pick up some different sizes & colors...

The 4'' Bunker have been great for striped bass!

I would like to try their 9" shads...

I'm sure that they would produce!

The only problem is that Bluefish love em too!...

I'm sure Clammer can share about his affection for the species...

Fishpart 06-03-2003 03:03 PM

#$%&^* Bluefish :AF:. Tore up my last wildeye in the middle of a mixed school of Bass and Blues...............

They are OK when you are ready for them though.

TheSpecialist 06-03-2003 03:56 PM

Good job Mr. Macey.

JohnR 06-03-2003 04:17 PM

Raven 06-03-2003 05:29 PM

well done Mr. Macey!!

you hung in there and persaverance finally paid off. Nice going!!
great picture by the way...and i see what ya mean about the size of the bass compared to a man "your" size. But having personally met you i know just how" BIG " that bass is. Take a tape measure and make a 30" inch mark on your rod now that you have your confidence for the next time.:wavey:

shore manic 06-03-2003 07:42 PM

way to go mike!!!

now that you hooked up you'll really be addicted. congrats mike!

milo 06-03-2003 08:40 PM

nice job MIKE so I guess you'll be sellin the boat now ,huh:smash: :laughs:

striperjackson 06-03-2003 08:45 PM

way to go:) I sure hope to get my first keepa soon!!

Got Stripers 06-03-2003 08:47 PM
