Pflueger (sp) question...bear with me
 

Hi gang,

Over the past fishing vacation, Dad broke out his 1954 Pflueger to try out and see if it still worked. We threw it on my Ben Doerr and gave it a whirl. I'm scared to say that I REALLY liked the reel. It casted smooth and casted just about 1/2 way across the Canal. Other than it is not a level wind, I really liked the reel and want to put it to use again.

My question is this....we do not have the book for the reel anymore. Got lost in the shuffle. After contacting some references, we have been less than successful in finding the breakdown of the reel so we can clean and lube it. (hasn't been serviced since the 60's I think :smash: )

Does anyone have a breakdown hanging around or know of someone that may? The reel was great and I think it may be my new chunking reel!

I found an old Pflueger Medalist 1494 1/2 DA that my dad gave me about 30 years ago and got the schematic about a week after I made the request.
