Missing: Foxy Lady II
(NECN) - The Coast Guard is searching for a fishing vessel off of Massachusetts.
The Coast Guard got word of the missing vessel Monday morning. It’s called the "Foxy Lady Two" and is based out of Gloucester. Two people are on board. Its last known location was 15 miles north of Provincetown. The Coast Guard is searching most of Massachusetts Bay from Gloucester to Provincetown. |

Hopefully the crew is in that raft and will be found on Tuesday morning

I can't understand why more people don't have an EPIRB, I haven't even got a boat anymore yet when I got a kayak I got an EPIRB. I hope it is just a case of out of radio range and they stayed fishing longer than they planned.

I'm guessing they had/have all necessary gear. Lets pray they are in their raft... |

It was a tough day on the water: Hard Merchandise (Dave M of Wicked Tuna fame) sank while at the dock!

wow grouchy, I think ezc's post on the epirb was relevant. The whole purpose of one is so you're not missing.
|
Thoughts and prayers for the crew.
Arguing over things you know nothing about like wether or not there is an epirb is not cool right now. |

BTW - RIRock - my daughter has a test today on weathering/erosion etc and I was quizzing her last night. The fact that she needs to know the difference from a stalagtite and stalagmite made me chuckle. That knowledge and a few $ will buy you a cup of coffee. |
All commercial fishing boats are required to have an epirb. further more, All documented commercial fishing boats require an auto-deploy epirb.

It kind of went down hill from there.:wall: |
How about if everyone stops with the personal attacks and insults?:smash:

Never gonna happen, they had ample opportunity to put an end to it but chose not to. I guess I should have just taken the disrespect and kept my mouth shut. It's just an example of what is wrong with society today, I suppose they hoped they would push me to the point I snapped. Funny how many folks have been poisoned by others to the point even when I compliment someone it goes unacknowledged in order to avoid any possible acceptance of me. There are members I have helped and been real nice to and even they keep their connection to me hidden. Best be careful they may look down on you too. It is what it is.
I hope they found the vessel but that doesn't really mean much now does it. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

Terrible news is right.
As for the elevated, umm, banter in this thread, roll it back please... thanks |
Whatever happened must have happened really fast. No distress call, no time to get in the raft...scary stuff. I feel terrible for the families involved.

Sad Sad news. Makes me think more of the chances I take everytime we go out. I feel the worst for his child in the picture with him.
