What vendor has the most extensive lead weight variety?
 

I think I remember MT telling me that one of his competitors has more lead than he does. What I am looking for are narrower diameter wieghts, like 1/4 O/D in varying lengths. Plus shorter weights in the 3/8's O/D variety. Any help will br greatly appreciated.

Take a look at Salty Bugger or NJ Tackle.

Not sure if they have what you seek, but they have quite a bit, especially Salty.

salty does indeed have a nice selection of belly wts and tail weights... I like his belly wts

I was just there the other day buying ayc. Got the nickel tour. He showed his spinner that he makes the weights on. I have to say that he is one of the most ingenious people when it comes to computors and Vegas and other chit that I cannot talk about that I have ever run across. Really friekin unique.

I've only made my own.
Two pieces of maple, lead, finish nails, a dollar store ladle, clamp, pliers, drill, drill bits and a propane torch
Clamp the maple together and drill appropriate size holes, then use a 8 or 10d finish nail and drill a little hole in the center of the big hole
Put the nails in and fill the holes with lead
Pull the nails with pliers, unclamp and weights drop out pretty easy
Now if I was making a hundred I might buy them

Pete... great easy way to make tail weights... I will give it a whirl... I use my lee lead pot for my belly weights... I use an awl to make depressions in outside wall of the wt hole to allow the molten lead to fill in these depressions and make the belly wts more secure

Even if you pour into the body add a drop or two of super glue to lock it in after the lead cools. The lead shrinks as it cools. I pour into a few of my lures, then fill and put back onto the lathe to sand. Until I superglued a few weights would fly out while sanding.
