Screw eyes, seal now or later?

Making some big Muskie glide baits for the ditch and to send to a buddy in cabo for rooster fish.

I've always used the big ss screw eyes and installed them after sealer, never had any issues.

But wondering if its better to add them before sealer?

Any thoughts, reasoning why?

Thanks-
Chef

if you plan to use epoxy to make the screw eye stronger you should probably epoxy them in pre-sealer but it would proabley be fine to do it post since the sealer does not penetrate as far as the screw threads will go

Agreed, or you could do the sinker eye thingy that Frech used in his plugs (pre sealer) George says they seem stronger!
