The Pamet is now punched strait through, basically making Truro and PTown an island now.

Thanks for the heads up....I will definitely check it out this spring.
Normally I would be excited to see something like this as it is a new drain to explore, but considering its location, I suspect that it just means... that the seal colony will have easy access to the backwater now. Gooble...gooble...hungry hippos. |
Wow that's crazy. Ill have to look at some images of that. The breach at south beach on the Vineyard is finally looking like it could close up in the next year or two. It was opened by a storm back in 2007.

rockin...If you catch the right wave in a kayak, you might be able to navigate from the ocean to the bay. Sea pours thru breach into Pamet River Valley Truro - YouTube The video suggests it was just from the storm surge.... or is it permanent? |

If this breach remains, cuts down my ride from Barn Hill greatly.

this what you get with new guys on the block..that new cut in south beach is right where the old bar was..all the chatham fleet use to go through it..with all that fresh sea water coming in it should expand the shellfish 10 fold...and help clean out stage harbor and the sound of all the oil and dead water that just goes out and comes right back in cause it never had a good flushing sence south beach closed up...worried about shellfish stocks..what a joke..all the great shellfishing died cause it closed up,you couldn't even find a crab out there before.
