cold weather bottoms??
Guys I have a question. I'm about to pull the trigger on a SOT kayak for spring and fall freshwater fishing. I plan to fish it from mid-march till about May (since the stripers will take all my attention away). I own a small sit-in that i used to use here and there in fresh water and had a ball with, but that was a few years back and this SOT thing is new to me. Naturally i'll be using scupper plugs, but i'm still concerned with getting wet, especially during these cooler months, when warmth is a precious thing. Are there any bottoms you guys prefer to keep dry, warm and comfortable? Any recommendations are welcome, and thanks to all who respond!

Ditto on the Kokatat Tempest Pants
I also use the Tempest Pants. They keep me high and dry and so far are very durable. I've even gotten out of my yak and waded with em' on.

If you have an old pair of stockingfoot waders, cut out the stocking feet. (in case you go for a swim).

The Neoprene waders work pretty well too. Since they are usually tight fitting.

I just use my stocking foot Neoprene waders instead of boots over the stocking feet I use a bigger pair of Velcro type Sandals ... and Neoprene waders wont drag you under .. Chest wader swim testing - YouTube
