It's raining frogs!

And worms. Just took ride and the frogs were everywhere. Then got home and had hundreds of worms in the driveway and crawling up the garage doors. First time this year I have seen the frogs. It won't be long now.

If this story were true you'd think the frogs were having a field day on the worms.

Why not???????

Probably a massive blitz right now!
It looked like the old game FROGGER with 3 year olds playing. A total frog suicide going on.

It's like we live in 2 different time zones. You have peepers and I still have 6" of snow on the ground. Same little state of RI. Unreal.

Raven 03-13-2013 04:06 AM

water spouts are known to suck up fish and frogs
and redistribute them elsewhere....
just one of natures more special tricks.....
mana from heaven...

I had tons of worms on my driveway this morning. If 5/0 is hearing peepers, it will be happening in my hood any day now.

God, I love the sound of the peepers. This is also the time of year during, a heavy rain at night, you will see those giant yellow spotted salamanders crossing the roads.

They'll be heading for the vernal ponds for a spawning free-for-all, along with toad and salamanders.

Last week at this time we had zero snow on the ground then came snow Thursday - Saturday which dropped up to twenty inches.
As of yesterday there was spots of snow in my yard, with the semi heat wave today I'am sure they'll be jammin tonight.

I've noticed However that after the peepers first sound off
they get their little ponds skimmed over by Ice >> like glass
a few times before they get in full chorus
