Best thing about St. Patricks day

I am not Irish but the best thing about St. Patricks day to me is the Corned beef hash for breakfast the following mornings.:)

If you were lucky enough to buy a few briskets and freeze them, you can have that feeling many times during the year at half the cost.
(Check out the price of corned beef at any time other than the week before St Patricks' Day.)

I currently have 6 in the freezer for future boiled dinners or just sandwiches.

Last couple of years the discounts on corn beef at St Patricks day have been few and far between. Used to see $1.29 a pound just 3 years ago. Last two years its been $4.29 a pound.

I do love corned beef hash for breakfast but also I like corned beef sandwiches. I like ruebens but my favorite is cold CB on french with some lettuce and tomatoes and honey mustard.

Are you looking at flat cut or point cut?
Point cut is always cheaper.

When I picked up my briskets this year, they were $1.49 / lb. for point cut. I never buy flat cut, which was $2.49 / lb.

The price "offseason" which is the rest of the year, the prices are almost doubled.

Sorry, but that's one small, flat looking "brisket".
