Any Etec 115 or 130 owners
I will be taking ownership of a new boat and new 130 Etec very soon.
I am in need of the engine cover decal measurements, so I can replace with all black decals to match the boat scheme. Does someone have the access and time to share these measurements with me? Thanks for Considering. |
The big Evinrude side decal is 20 x 3; front about 9 x 1.5 Make sure all you rods are color coordinated too...

you will be happy. it is a great boat. With the 150 2stroke evinrude I was running at 35 kts wide open dead flat, but i was over propped. i think i could have hit 38-40 kts with the right prop.
Hoping I can still hit 30kts with the new yami115 4stroke... I am guessing you will be around 33kts WOT with the 130etec... maybe more though? either way, it is a great ride, especially for the size... mine: http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c1...7-25150659.jpg |

that 130 etec is perfect fit.
|
I run a 115 Etec on my 71 Seacraft Seafari....a heavy boat. Easily tops 30 mph...any faster and the teeth I have left would be rattled out. Burns half what my 80's 115 rude burned. The 115 and the 130 are the same motor with different tuning and power delivery. You'll love it.
|
you will love the etec....quiet, great on fuel/oil and so trouble free. i put a 150 on my 21' walkaround and light load 2 people i get 40 knots on flat clam days, loaded to the hilt with gear 3-4 guys ice and fuel it will still run mid to upper 30's but i will usually cruise around 23-26 knots loaded around 4100-4300 rpms

It is good to hear about everyone's positive experiences with the Etec.
I had a choice of any engine and found it sort of like the Mac or PC debate, in this case Etec being the Mac. I chose the Etec based on simplicity of mechanical design(2stroke vs. 4 stroke, less moving parts etc), less maintenance requirements and torque. Time will tell. Looks like I am picking her up this afternoon from the builder. |
Wait until you winterize it for the 1st time!!!

He she is with no engine decals: Black decals on the way...
Pretty much all black and white as all electronics are black as well including antenna. |

LOOKS AWESOME!!!
Have you taken her for a spin yet? Today was a perfect day. Pick mine up with new power at end of week. |
Thanks
Weather and wind have been awful.... Been able to do all the little things to make her fishy. This weekend she goes in for good. |
Zac...looks like you got a few more years out of that motor...
|
yup. i imagine someone else will now too. she still runs strong, just at that age where ever year it is something else minor to repair. I am at the point in my life where I would rather just have something more turn-key.... especially on the boat where there are so many other projects...
|
you and me both.
|
if I used the boat more I'd be putting an etec 115 on the back. Maybe next year
