Cancelled A. T. & T., and two verizon lines
 

$80.00 a month for those three utilities that I know longer have to pay is nice. Just finished with Direct T-C rep. to cancell that account to the tune of $72.99 a month as well, because I signed on with Comcast. In two uyears if Comcast goes out of sight I chit can them as well.

I cut back my land line , cut back cable and internet to basic service and my cell phone too. I went magic jack for the land line and I went tracfone for the cell. The majig jack is great. free in US and only 2 cents to anywhere in the world. My cell phone was a pain to get set up but its been good for 5 months now. Net savings was over $1500 a year between all the services I dumped. I can't really say i miss anything I dumped as the replacement or downsized service seem to meet my needs fine now.

Why "if in 2 years" will you dump Comcast. Don't they advertise all the time that there's no long term contract like the satellite companies require? Can't you dump them anytime you want?

i 2nd the magic jack idea becasue it's $19.95 ONCE a year
and all the incoming calls gets routed through your PC (silently)
best of all! you don't even have to plug the S.O.B in to receive
all your notices (cvs) or spam calls because they'll auto hang up.
all those forms where they require your home phone number
you give them the magic jack number instead of your cell phone number

You no longer need a PC for the latest magic jack which has been out 2+ years

quite true ! but at our house the Dingo dog goes ballistic when the phone rings
so i prefer silent running and no wrong numbers disturb our much needed sleep.

paying almost 75 bucks for 2 cells is expensive... Verizon gives you
a 700 minutes plan ONLY or it's hit the road Jack attitude.
