Sakonett or Beavertail/brenton pt.

Im heading out tomorrow morning early - 4:30 - just as ebb starts. This is my first year fishing and I've been doing ok catching stripers up to 35" - within upper and middle Narragansett bay but I really want to get into some bigger fish. Plus the SB action seems to be slowing down in the bay.

First - i'm thinking that to find the bigger fish - i need to head out of the bay or at least closer to the mouth. Is that a good assumption?

If so - i've been studying the charts around the mouth of the sakonnett and beavertail / brenton point. By the look of the charts there should be some good structure out there. I will be trolling primarily (I've had no luck at all with frozen herring and I haven't been able to get / keep live herring - so trolling seems to be it for now). Anybody have any thoughts about one area over the other?

Thanks
Dave
