Thanks for the support at Chuck's wake Mike. I needed it.

For those interested Clammer has posted photos of some worm spinners and a lure called a Sparky. Both were popular in the 60s and 70s. The Sparky could be fished from the shore or boat - all you needed to do was change to a single hook and add a seaworm.
We used the #5.

Perhaps some of it will find it's way into a Historical Fishing Museum someday...one never knows.

Unfortunately Spag's closed in 2004. I bought my first surf rod there, a St. Croix Ben Doerr. I miss that place. I used to go once a week when I was a kid.
