Hi,

Anyone know what type of bird this is? It landed in my yard a little while ago. I took a few pictures thru a window and then finally went up to the 2nd floor balcony.

Thanks
Paul

Thanks - I just pulled out my peterson's field guide to try figuring it out. Wonder why he is visiting Conn?

With all the rain, he must have thought my yard was a swamp.

It looks delicious.

Likely very rare this far north but range maps do show it spends time here. In Spring everything is reestablishing its territory or searching for new.
