gps fishing numbers

Beyond the radio list s-b should have a place where we can swap/trade gps numbers.:hee:

Good idea. But posting numers on the internet usually results in big crowds.

Use your pm's that is what they are there for. Never put stuff like that in public, there are more eyes than the 1000+ members here... ;)

I found a great honey hole once, scored big time. Unfortunately she moves around alot and I can never find her in the bar we met at.

Seriously, a friend gave me a couple of Loran numbers but I use GPS. Does anyone know a quick way to convert.

Still a rookie, but learning more every day.

Fish On,
There is no way to accurately convert loran to gps, other than going ot the spot with your loran and then taking the numbers off your GPS. I understand there is a computer program on the Coast Guard website that does as good a job as any.

numbers ? i got a hooooop of bass at the ? using ? at the ? tide.
all that info would take the fun out of fishing.

You're missing the point...I am not saying tell the world "at this location, at this time this is where I caught fish"...I am saying it would be a good thing to bring together already public information (on many books, mags, charts and tackle stores locations in gps format.

BTW if you go to: http://www.rdc.uscg.gov/rdcpages/software.html

You will find a program to convert Loran #'s to Lat Lon. written by the CG.
