Pencil rod ?

Here is my issue I have the following rods but none work a pencil easily
for me anyway Legend 10.6 MH 2-6 oz

G loomis IMX 12642s sur (willing to do an even trade)

And a Lami SS 101mhs 10ft 1 piece
seems my hunt for that all in one rod has failed

any suggestions or rods willing to sell that will fit my needs would be great (canal and newport plugin

I can only speak for the Lami and it works for me. Something a little softer might be better, but it meets my needs.

XSRA 1322 is a great plugging rod and works pencils nicely. I just built a century 1267 that is very nice also. I would not throw over 5 with it ever though I am finding 6 oz to be a good jig weight for moving tides

Before buying another rod, I suggest trying different brand plugs. There are several on the market that can be worked with little effort. I use a Century 1327 which is a mod. fast action and work my pencils with very little effort. Give M&D's CCT, Afterhours and 24/7 canal pencils a try!

I have the 1327 also I prefer the 1267 for the canal. In certain spots the 6 inches does make a difference on the back cast

I use a 1201L for pencils and its nice and whippy. Does the job for me.

I have a 1322 custom Saltheart that I may part with. It's the most mint 11 footer that will be your best 11ft pencil rod. Pm me if your interested.
