Shimano Sustain 10k fg

Is this reel worth 400 bucks? i like the lightweight and how its been constructed but for that price I can go into a VM150!!

Also there are good reels like the saragosa in its class for half the price.

used primamry for Bass.

I havent fished one yet, but they have my eye on one. Pretty sick reel from what i can gather.

I wouldn't pay that much. I think it has the same aluminum main gear as the Gossa, and it's much more complex inside. I don't know whether they changed anything over the years, but the old Sustains hated sand, and they didn't like getting wet very much. Real smooth reel, but fussy. The Gossa has very few moving parts, and it's easy to take apart and clean. It also has a rotor brake, and can be converted to a manual pick-up.

I wouldn't go with the sustain I would wait for the new Saragosa that will be out in the next couple of months it is a better saltwater/surf reel than sustain

New Saragosa SW or there's a new VS VM275 coming out too. But I think that VM275 is going to be mighty heavy based on the weight of the current VM150.

Im thinking of VM150!!
