We lost another one
Just learned yesterday that Ox The Ditch passed away last week, after a long battle with esophageal cancer.
Ox wasn't as active here as he was on SOL, and really hasn't been around much during his illness, but he was still a valued member of the SB family. Condolences to his family. |
Sorry to hear that Mike. RIP Ox The Ditch.
|
Ox was one of the original members and regularly came to the S-B barbecues , how to's, etc back when . Very sad to hear he's gone!
|
God speed ox. :(

WOW
that sucks ! Ox was good guy . My thought go out to his family and friends . |
Ox was one of the very first people I met through here and one of the earliest here . Nice guy, shot straight, liked to have his fun. I ran into him last year? He had high hopes for beating this but he was pretty dragged down by it.
Very sorry to hear, thanks for letting us know, Mike. Godspeed OX |

Guy really was a true gentle giant. |
I remember when we did the reel day at Slipknots house. Ox pulled apart his 7500 ABU reel , cleaned it all inside , re lubed and reassembled it. Wouldn't work. He asked me for help and so I looked at it and saw that the little clip that actually wraps around the teeth of the gear was all under the gear. He then took it apart , reassembled it correctly then right near completion he dropped one of the small parts. It landed on the floor , bounced and was never seen again. I would have been cursing up and down for an hour but OX just took it in stride. We looked a long time but never found it. He never even swore once. :)
I also remember him always asking if I had made Strawberry shortcake when he arrived at M+D's for the Barbecues we used to have. He loved the strawberry shortcake! :) I'll miss that guy! |
I remember that Mike
he really was a good guy |
RIP
|
Rest in Peace, Ox! My condolences to his family. He was a real nice guy. No wonder I haven't seen him in some time.
