Looks fishy

I've been going to York Beach annually for nineteen years and this spot has always looked fishy, but has only produced a few fish threw out the years,Skishing would be very productive there are a few spots that look real fishy just off shore.
I have come to the conclusion that this spot is only good for taking pic's instead of fishing endless hours and throwing everything at the water including the kitchen sink.
There are four other spots in York all within a 2 mile radius that produce ton's o fish, the key thing to know is the time of day/night doesn't matter it's all in the tide stage, choice of bait/artificial lures and presentation, the fish can be real finicky when bait fish are not present and the water clarity is uncanny.
Maine has a unique bag limit, one fish at 20"-26" or one trophy at 40" or greater,I think it's a pretty good system next to New Hampshire reg's.
Any way last week was my Vaca in York the weather was good the fishing was ok but the food was better!
hope you enjoy the pic's.

Bob

My great grandfather used to crush bass in York in the 1930's. in the river on light tackle/small jigs.

Great shots of the Nubble! Maine is just filled with fishy lookin shoreline Ive wasted a lot of time in places that looked like hot spots. The Nubble can produce occasionally especially at night.

Ask at the local shops. Buy something and they may tell you something worth knowing about where and when.

There is something to be said about the Maine air,it's very laid back ,relaxing and highly contagious.
Nebe, I know that spot and I went every day, that river is loaded with sand eels. I spoke with a couple of divers and they enlightened me,so off I went to the Kittery Trading post and picked up the extra small Savage jigs:fishin::devil2:

Slip that is why I went to the beach,I must have failin in and out of love 10 times a day:love:
Thanks Paul yea, I already have a week under my belt and each day I woke up it was hard to grab the keys for the work van VS the waders and pole:fury:

I wish I was there right now because I know exactly where I'd be:fishin:
