I've given up waiting for the weather. I just go when I want, damned if it's rainy or not. I've had some pretty good luck on rainy days...

Rainy days makes for quiet fishing spots, lotsa people think the fishy's are afraid of getting wet. he he he..

When is the eastely wind gonna let up, so the weeds can be cleared off the beaches and rocks..

I've always laughed when I mention fishing in the rain.
(I'm not talking monsoon conditions, just the typical crap we've been getting lately.) My friends and family look at me like I should be spending time in a rubber room in a wrap around jacket.
My generic response is " Fish don't care if it rains. Heck, they LIVE in water!"
I've had some productive trips in the rain, and your right, the average bait slinger thinks that the rain means bad fishing.
I won't try to convince them otherwise, or they may start showing up when I'm there.

I'm beginning to grow gills myself, although the lawn I put in after the septic system went in this spring is looking fine, which I guess is a good thing. Still bring on some global warming, at least turn on the sunlamp for a spell.
