We are going to have to play tonight!
We are not playing Buffalo tonight! Got to feel for Tom. Standing out there , well protected by his line , but nobody to throw to. Edelman will likely be double covered every play. No Amendola or Vereen. That sucks. I know there is somebody lining up at tight end. Maybe he's unproven or has stone hands but I got a feeling that necessity will dictate that we throw to the tight end at some point tonight.
Lets see....take away a league leading receiver do to contract renewal issue....take away the best tight end in the league with injuries....take away a psychopathic murderer....take away our hope of replacing Welker (Amendola) do to injuries. Take away a speedster like Vereen do to injuries....What's left!! :( Anyway , I still think we can win but we need "telephone pole arms" Wilfork to go nuts on D and we need some unknown faces to step up to the plate. GO PATS :patshelmet: |
Last week was an ugly win.
I'm thinking tonight might be more of the same...but agree we're going to have to bring some game. -spence |
Oh , BTW , I hate this 8:30 start time stuff. For a game like tonight I like to go to maybe a Chinese restaurant , have a beer , watch the first half , have food at half time , have another beer for the second half and head home after the game. When they start at 8:30 , you may run into the restaurant closing before the game is over. Now with Chinese they serve late but some places you may not even be able to get food at half time cause the kitchens close early. Even if you stay home to watch , the games sometimes go to 12:30 or later.
Anyway , just my grumpage about the games starting so late on weekdays. |
All football games should be played on Sunday except for thanksgiving. The Pats are still double digit favorites and I think they'll cover. Ridley will play for his life. And the no name receivers will be no names no more.
IN BILL WE TRUST GO PATS!!!!! Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Go JETS !

The Jets could have won that game.
Thought that QB played pretty decent in the 1st half ( I was sleeping by 2nd half) His receivers killed him as did Brady's ! QUOTE=Rockfish9;1013444]the Pats crashed and burned.. the Jets never left the runway...Rex and co. let one get away... and he knew it.[/QUOTE] Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
That was one ugly game. As bad as watching pre season. Now I know how Ron feels watching the Raiders
Sorry Ron I couldn't resist. I think you will have lots of laughs at their expense this season. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |

Nothing to be sorry for Paul. I'm expecting at best another 4 win season and another wasted high draft pick in next years draft. My team DESPERATELY needs new ownership !!! But on the bright side I expect the Pats to be about 500 and out of the playoffs and the Bruins start up soon, thank god ! |
By the next game time we will have 2 more very good receivers on the roster. The D played really well. Give Brady two targets as good or better than what he had last night and maybe we score our 30 points. We'll see.

Where they getting these 2 recievers if they couldn't get them in the offseason ?

The hope is that Amendola and the Gronk will both play Sept 22.BAM Instantly a different team than Thursday night!

You're banking on 2 guys with histories of not staying healthy :rotf2: |

Pats are already 2-0 in the division.... Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Gronk is football's version of Jacoby Ellsbury. He will never play a full season.
|
Amindola is as well.....

When they are healthy , you play them. When they are hurt , you play someone else. That's football.
Nobody would bank on them. Some might bet on them but not if they are smart. I think the term would be hope. I'm hoping they stay healthy and do well. That's my job as a fan. |

Welker is STILL traumatized from Belichick's mental abuse...
even tho he's no longer a Patriot... As painful as it is to watch brady's frustration with no one to throw to it is even more PAINFUL to watch a Patriots player's interview where everything said is SO controlled, whitewashed and squeaky clean painted ever so pure and ROSY ..that it's utterly nauseating Just Once i'd like to hear Brady say in his own declassified words something along the lines of.... "that guy sucks so bad you could paint his hands with glue and he still couldn't catch a pass to save his freakin life...." :hs: |
Yeah that would be fun but then it becomes a downward spiral. In fact I admire the discipline they show and the respect for the organization that enables their discipline. Would liked to have had a mic on Tom along the sidelines when he was 'venting" on the bench during Thursday's game. :)
