bitter seet for me... it's the last productive full for the season here... good last night along the beach.... mostly small and medium fish... they fed strong for 3 hours .. then the seal showed up....

What a moonrise over the water that was tonight! (didn't have a camera with me, don't have a smart phone....) Anyone get a pic?

the moon set this am was like the sun setting...

I was driving to Virginia beach with the wife last night through this morning and couldn't believe how late the moon stayed up in the sky. It seemed to still be present a the sun popped up

The setting moon and rising sun were simultaneous, best morning of the year.

Too busy to "shoot the moon"... Best fishing/week of the season, by far...

Some of my plugs are getting a blurple make over this evening......

black with gold scale white belly skin needles did big damage last night... they played with the non skin variaty.. INHALED the skin plug...

right in the wash... nothing outside of it.. only in the tumbeling surf.. just about every cast... had a few "gunnel" rides in the white foam..

You are the best, Joe! Gold on top first, then black over netting. Will skin an few eels and pack some small wire ties.

My buddy had a mid 30lb fish on a plug under the bright light last night. Gives me hope...

These recent bright nights have actually been better than others. Nothing worth bragging about , but better than a skunking . All on light colored plugs, middle of the night.

Cant wait for new moon week.:uhuh:

full moon has been good for me. Not as good as a new moon but if you change your tactics it will produce. More of an 0'dark 30 fishing cycle when full

5 hours casting eels
 

The moon rise was gorgeous. Unfortunately, the fish did not agree. It was so bright, did not use my headlamp all night. I had 1 bump from a small bass and that was it. Plenty of bait...

Still a nice night to be standing on a rock. 54 mile ride home kind of sucked.
