falmouth schoolies
heading to Falmouth for a couple days can anyone tell me a good spot to chase schoolies , not really a fishing vacation but will sneak away to wet a line , thanks
chase albies!
yep albies are a great option... most of the south facing beaches on the Cape have some action... esp when the wind is from the S or SW... Try Nobska light
try the inlet along Menauhant Rd into Bournes Pond on a incoming tide at either right before sunrise or right after dusk. If there are there the should be busting, also a fly-fishing spot.
Nobska is a bad idea unless you are set up for serious wading and fishing (current, rocks, bad footing)
If you go to trunk river and walk right, towards Nobska, you'll come to a series of jetties and after dark on an outgoing tide you may do well. Maravista jetty several hours after high water is a good outflow, but parking is an issue. Bournes pond is a good suggestion. |
Be careful after dark in Falmouth...lots of streakers around them parts.

Woods hole, remnants if the broken jetty at the fisheries building. Also try the knob, quisset harbor on one side and buzzards bay on the other. Maybe a shot at albies from both locations
