It's the devil spawn of a weakfish, robinfish, snakehead orgy!
|
Kinda resembles a trouser snake?
|
In lees river (swansea) in the fall there are tons of those. They do the air jaws thing and come straight up outta the water at least a foot smashing silversides and peanut bunker. They actually have a snake skin like pattern after you put them in a bucket. If you live line one they will attack it as well. vicious little cannibal fish. I always thought it had something to do with the power plant. Guess not

Jones .it could be .... we were in MHB
30 -40 years ago we always caught really weird fish in the discharge ... when it came out the side & the Lees warmed up into the 80,s :fishin: |
Denis got bit by one of these? Is he OK?
Never seen one before. |
I think it is a lizardfish. Caught a bunch of these, about the same size, casting tins and jigs off Outerbanks a couple of years ago. Looks like good bait....
|
wow...never saw that before. That is a creepy looking thing.
|
lizardfish.

Crazy! Never seen anything like it! OTW on FB had something about a kid catching a barracuda off BI... but i don't think thats a barracuda.. i guess I have to agree with lizzard fish, after googling up some pics.
Crazy! |
I didn't see it but I'll bet that was a northern sennet and not a baraccuda.
