End of Season Rod Sale
Four nice inshore/boat/kayak rods for sale.
Up first is a really nice Sage Custom spinning rod. It has a mahogany colored blank, it's graphite. The model is listed as B569-igsp. It's 6'9" long. I believe this was designed for musky use and rated for something like 1/2-4oz but I'm not completely sure of that. I do know that it's very lightweight, but very powerful and I've taken a couple decent size fish on this rod. I was told that the blank alone retails for roughly $400. It has a short burled cork handle (good for kayak fishing). My asking price on this one is $180.00 Next is a Lamiglas GLB90 1m custom wrapped fluke/seabass rod. Again on the burled cork handle and fuji trigger reel seat. Nice condition. My asking price is $100.00 Third is a Local Hooker spinning rod. Foam Eva Grips. Model number MF700G1530SR. It's a 7' rod, 15-30lb line test, 1-3oz rating. Excellent shape (no signs of wear). $90.00 Fourth is a custom Pac Bay conv. 7' black with red wraps rod that I had a friend wrap for Tautog or heavy Fluke duty. Never used it as I have other rods for those purposes. $65.00 All rods a excellent in condition. I'm in Rockland, MA where thaty can be picked up or can meet locally. Feel free to ask any questions. |

How well does that Sage throw what its rated for?
Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
IMO 4oz is pushing it. I never tried pushing the upper limits just based on "feel" of the rod. 3oz is more realistic, but it'll throw light stuff just fine. I used it to throw SP Minnows and plugs to about 2.5oz. It's got plenty of backbone to handle decent fish with.
