Drought

...we must officially be in a drought? When is the last time we've had a good rain..?

Swimmer 10-27-2013 12:22 PM

Odd that it hasn't been talked about at all...but there has been a pretty dramatic dearth of rain for a while now

I actually had to wash my boat during a season recently. That's a first.

Maybe we'll luck out and get it all in snow this winter :wall:

I have a 2 acre pond I built many years ago and it's as low as I have seen it in a lot of years. It is spring fed so that means the springs are starting to dry up.

Yup...

Stream in my yard is barely a trickle. Only dried up once in the 10 years I have lived here, and that happened in late july heat wave a few years back. My primary fall spot gets going each year after a good couple days of rain in october. Needless to say it never started his year.

Yeah, if we don't get some good rain in the next few weeks, won't get
a salmon spawning run at Wachusett. Looking forward to it too.

Or...is that your "primary fall spot"?

zimmy 10-28-2013 12:00 PM

no, different state and has striped things in it (supposedly)
