The last pitcher to win the WS in that park was Babe Ruth. Just an awesome event. Really happy for the team. To have that turn around is incredible.

Yeah,
It was a good time to be out of work, for sure. I got to watch all of the games (although the ones last week are a little foggy).

It was sure worth it this week, though. I told Jess that the old Rickman would have gotten so excited, that I would have started drinking Sierra Celebrations during the day waiting for the game and passed out before the first ball was thrown. The last time that I had knee surgery I missed a whole January worth of Bruins and Pats this way. At least I was well behaved for the Super Bowl in 2001.

I have no idea if this will ever happen again, so it's nice to have the memories.
