Penn battle
Has anyone owned or used a Penn battle spinning reel an if so any comments about it? Seems too good for the price.

I have one I've been using for sweetwater, pretty nice reel actually. Casts great, great line lay, and smooth.
Can't say how they'd hold up for the salt. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
I sell a ton of em at my work and I've had nothing but positive feedback. They're sturdy, very smooth and look pretty good too. Worth the cash, I'd say.

Have taken some large bass in the boat tossing eels with a 6000. Not really casting it far so I can't say if they are good for that but I like it so far.

I've had mine since they came out.. I own 2... the only issue was broken bail cam on the first one I bought ( the early ones were plastic the later ones are aluminum) .. it cost more to ship the part than it cost.. mine have taken hundreds of big bass... all on light line...

Rockfish 9 ENDORSED :btu: plenty good enough for me |
Sold a lot of them this summer as well based mainly on piemmas feedback before. Great boat reels but if from shore u r better off with the captiva ( replaced the old non braid friendly ss series reels) as it has a sealed drag as opposed to the battle that doesnt. Also captiva is lighter

Looks more like the DAIWA in spool Width (design) but that might be my imagination
