Very well done for the first one. They have room to expand to add demos/seminars. I bet next year will be even better. Some great deals on used gear - I don't normally need any more stuff but scored some old school rough sided redfins for $2.00 each and a couple boxes of discontinued cadmium plated tinned Mustad trebles for small $. These trebles are still the best IMO but very hard to find. Well done to the Narragansett Surfcasters. Thanks to all who helped out.

DZ I talked to Jimmy yesterday /& passed the {HI} ...............I told him what I got ..& he said I scored ??? go check out E-bay .... I can easly 2 X or 3X what I paid ................ I should have gone there with that in mind , because the prices on most of the used gear was a score .
as usual great to see ya ><><><:devil2: |
Thanks, guys. And Dennis, on behalf of the Surfcasters we appreciate you being there to help inaugurate this event. Be assured that at our next board meeting, we'll be assessing the day and looking at embellishments. What a buying opportunity, especially for anyone new to surfcasting. Thanks to Cliff Richer and so many others in the club for grasping an idea and bringing it to fruition.

Well worth the drive yesterday for the chowder alone. Scored some D.C. custom plugs needles blems and a load of redfins for less than 40.00. Ran into Guppy, always nice talking to you Ray. Talked with DZ for a bit and picked up his book. I was really impresses with the Marbled rods that Aquidnick island rod builders brought. Will definitely go next year if they do it again

I would be interested in going next year. I would have went this year, but CT Surfcasters was 2 hours closer and an awesome show as well. If the dates are different next year, possibly even a Saturday and Sunday that would be awesome for us "out-of towners". You could have some of the same vendors overlap, as well. I would bring a car load of people and probably stay over in either northern CT or Rhodie.

Sounds like something to think about
