Lathe Speed

What speed do you turn plugs at?

Or with out Dupe?

I do all woods, dupe or hand max. Jet speed.3750rpm. If I drill with lathe 1250-1400 rpm.

are there recommendations based on wood softness, or just ballz to the wallz with the speed? lol

Turning speeds for softer wood would be faster to keep from ripping but the faster the smoother finish. For maple, birch, cedars and pine 1 speed fast.
