Trailer springs

I'm replacing axle and suspension. Boat weighs 2400 lb. and the trailer is rated right a that. Plan on beefing up the springs but not sure how much. The next size up are 1500 lb. springs (3000 total). I'm assuming too stif is not good,,, what do ya think? The next jump is 4000 lb.

Getting ready, Gup

I beefed mine up years ago to 3k, and was fine. But your weight is still what ever your axle and tires are rated for.
