Finally I BUGGED out of there.... fish were not in there...anyway...after being bitten a hundred times...wasnt worth stayin thats for sure. ahhhhhhhh!:wall:

Raven,

Bummer. We run into that here when the wind drops to nothing.

The salty Mozzies are brutal. I think I lost a pint of blood the other night !

Tight lines !

A weekend of beauty.

Man, did we ever deserve that. :)

Just getting in. We were :whackin: them tonight. Nothing Slipknot size (a recent measuring device :) ) but 25 lb of drag and battle.

I  sunday evenings :D

Here's to summer ;)

Guys, not to steer ya off topic but here's a heads-up on a NEW bug lotion that I used for the last 4 days in VT....makes ya TOTALLY invisible to black flies, deer flies, moskeeters, and any other nasty #@$!!! bugs that were up there, I put it on twice a day, once in the am and once in the pm and the stuff was fantastic.

Now the drawback, because it's new I looked in 7 different stores now and can't find it :(

It's made by OFF and it's called "Botanicals" comes in a light green lotion bottle, and it's sposed to be all herbal too so no nasty deet stuff.

I had 40 and 50% deet repel and deep woods off and the darn b'tards were still swarming me until this guy let me try this stuff. If anyone finds who sells the stuff I want to know....I'll drive 50 miles to find it!

beachwalker 06-30-2003 06:03 AM

I am searching the web.

We will keep in touch

do a search for Off Botanicals and it's kinda interesting the unbiased reports this stuff has, I'm REALLY surprised that more people haven't heard about the stuff before now...even if it is new.

Scotch Bonnet 07-01-2003 03:44 PM

Stop&Shop is well stocked with this stuff. Hope it works, I bought 3 bottles!

UserRemoved1 07-01-2003 03:54 PM

u shouldn't have said that, it won't work now :D

Scotch Bonnet 07-01-2003 06:15 PM

Its got the Charlestown Seal of Approval. I live on a pond and we have Gorilla Mosquitos that drink DEET to get a buzz. After an hour in the back yard - no bites. Thanks for the tip #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&!

UserRemoved1 07-01-2003 06:35 PM

Glad it could help someone else :D

It Really Works!

I got some Off! Botanical on the way home last night. You see in NJ where in a normal year the biologists collect on average of 100 mosquitos in their traps, they're getting 700 now. The Cutter wasn't cutting it. Had my wife and kids put it on and I didn't. Not one bite for them, but they were all over me. It also has a pleasant smell, the ladies liked it because it was a lotion, and being more natural than chemical it's probably better to have on. One caution, be careful around your eyes. Must be the eucalyptus makes your eyelids feel like you've put spearmint or wintergreen oil on them. If you're in the neighborhood, Marrazzo's Thriftway has plenty in stock.

#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& is the man !

I tried the Botanical last night, NOTTA BITE !

Amazing stuff. You should see if they need a rep.

Great find and info.

Thank you ! :)
