Recently completed this kitchen install. We are going to be building more houses in this price range in the future.

A couple of custom stairs recently completed.

Nice stuff. I really like the coffered ceiling. Never stacked upper cabinets myself, but it adds a lot of storage and compliments the ceiling height. I know, weird details to pick out, but that's what strikes me as a builder.

Quality work right there!

Thanks. We framed for the coffered ceiling ourselves after the sub contracted framer left. The soffit from the upper cabinets to the ceiling, with large crown also has rope moulding, and was a lot of work.

The upper cabinets have wire grill panels... the customer loves the look but realizes they will get little use, because they cant reach them.

How about that nosing around the soaking tub, marble I'm sure...

amazing craftsmanship in that kitchen install, must have been challenging for sure. but holy cow is there a lot going on in there. designers and owners are insane in general

Very nice work. I miss doing stuff like that. I did a lot of big projects in Newport, Jamestown, Narraganset etc. some were 2 year projects. Where is this and what does the exterior look like?

Yes the designer spent so much time with the customer that his commision was nil. He thanked me profusely says I saved his a** by doing the install without a hitch.

I love looking at these pictures, every once in a while I go through all the pics of crap I worked on and it brings back good memories of the good old days. Thanks for posting. What company do you work for or is it your own company?

Wow. A lot of trim work there.... Architect was allowed to go to town! Finish carpenters were busy the past few months.... I need a job like that next January.

I had my own home building business for ten years back in the 90's, then realized that the 80 hrs a week and constant drain on my checking account from WORKERS COMP INSURANCE:fury: and payroll taxes wasn't going to stop.

Also the hassels with employees, subcontractors and customers wasn't something that I enjoyed.

Been with my current company for 10 years now, pay is decent, no stress and lots more free time.

Thanks Mike... it is Forest Park ...75 lot subdivision already 2/3 complete. We've started building some homes at Lincoln Park but those will be much smaller (under 2000 sq ft) on ridiculously small lots. They are selling pretty quickly though.

I have been taking just finish work for the last three years or so. I worked in stair shops for around 15 years and now I have been getting tons of stair work. Not a bad problem to have.

Here are a few from one of the ones I did on the Cliff Walk in Newport. Nothing beats custom work. We were on this for almost 2 years total.

I worked many years in a cabinet shop designing, fabricating and installing high end millwork.
We did many banks, country clubs, libraries, airports etc. all over the state. Wish I had the pictures, lost most of them.

Its a whole different animal in the field as apposed to building them in the shop. I built them in the shop all day and installed nights and weekends for years. Having 300 clamps and every machine you could ask for is always nice, but I enjoyed being in the field installing.
