Anyone else pissed about the weather?

I was gonna run this morning. Got to the boat and temp was 36. Looks like 40s and rain till Friday. F*%$# it's almost May for God sake!

The Iceman 6 04-28-2014 08:43 AM

BigFish 04-28-2014 08:46 AM

How was the wind down there Paul? This wind has to end!!!!!:fury:

ThrowingTimber 04-28-2014 09:34 AM

90 degrees Friday sitting pool side all day. Came home to 46 degrees Saturday blech...

bassballer 04-28-2014 09:44 AM

Was supposed to be in the water by wed, looked at the forecast and am just going to wait. I starting to get angry. Like real angry. Enough is enough. Just break for gods sake. Its bascially May and i dont even want my dogs swimming in this frigid water. I mean at this rate it will be mid June before the bunker even show up.

Raider Ronnie 04-28-2014 10:05 AM

It's April and normal weather for April.

Al Gore must be pissed it's not 90-100 degrees already :-)

There have been a few Memorial day weekends that I have been on the Cape with 45 degree weather.

This weather is still fishable, just gotta layer up.

I like the chill, gives me more time to work on the house before the season kicks in.

Rockport24 04-28-2014 02:18 PM

yeah it totally sucks!!! I have a lot of work to get done around my house as well, but this still sucks

I have been doing just that. I have roughly 6 cords out and stacked, painted some doors inside and a limited amount of trim outside but you can't really paint outside when it's in the 40s.
It'll turn next week.....I hope!!!

Paul, if you don't like the weather here you can always try Arkansas.

Nope. To quote ace ventura, too frigging busy to give it a second shake, let alone the follow-up jiggle.

tell the fish to take their time... squid aren't even on the beach yet...

Went out Friday trout fishing in R.I. Sunny and warm in the afternoon. Hatches everywhere. Hen#^&#^&#^&#^&sons, Black Quills, Red Quills, caddis... Had a blast. Sat. and Sun back to slinging subsurface. Took my 9 y/o alone sun. and hit a bunch of native brookie nooks I have accumulated over the past past 35 years or so. He had a blast. He wanted to eat some. I was sceptical because he is very picky. Kept 4 in the 7" range and cooked them up at my Grandmother's. He ate them all to the bones.

April showers are good for something!

Think of all those herring and shad that are making their way up river to spawn! Imagine that if they are allowed to fully recover as a species (I wouldn't hold my breath for that one)?
Now imagine how quickly they WOULD HAVE recovered if the restrictions that were forced upon the recreational angler were also forced upon the netters, draggers and poachers???

Once again, I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting for anything to change on that front.

At the very least the fish will be able to make it up to their spawning grounds, and following on their tails will be the striped ones!!!
